Good Morning SAMOAns...The club membership roster has been updated...Thank you Clay...The login is the usual "member" and the password is xxxxx...case sensitive...
I have placed three events on the calendar that are NOT sponsored by SAMOA but I think they would be worthwhile and great events...
First is the California Auto Museum CruiseFest on October 2....It takes place in and around the Fulton Avenue corridor/ Avenue and encompasses all kinds of cars and trucks...Just about anything goes including the Save Mart V8 powered shopping cart...You need to see it...We need someone to coordinate it with the museum and organize a meet up location...Car clubs get special parking considerations...
Second, I am a huge supporter of holiday season charity events...My wife and I support anything we can find that involves cars and donation possibilities...I think events like that would be a very kind and thoughtful gesture to contribute to these fun auto related holiday donation get togethers for our clubbing which to participate...KCRA and The Sacramento Food Bank co sponsor a turkey drive the Thursday before Thanksgiving every year...All that is needed for a donation is at least one frozen bird and drop them off as a club to the Food Bank...Again we need someone to step up and organize a meet up location, start time and maybe a lunch location...If you time it right during a televised news time on KCRA you might be interviewed...We have been on the news several times...
The next event is the Shriners Hospital for Kids and EuroSunday toy drive on December 5...This is an event we have done in the past...A very worthwhile event for kids in the hospital...And again we need someone to step up and organize...All kinds of exotics and special cars of significance show up for this...It is highly supported in the car community...A parade of really special cars show up for this...You need at least one unwrapped toy to participate...
And RSVP for the Wise Road Drive and Picnic, the River Cats game, the Twist and Shout Run and the Virginia City Birthday Party...
