Sacramento Area Miata Owners Association

This is from Robin George, past president of SAMOA...On July 4th, 2021, Bonnie Lutz passed away after a long illness. She was a major influence in the beginning of the Sacramento Area Miata Owner’s Association. In fact, she was one of the original 13 Miata owners meeting at Carmichael Park in October 1990. Besides being President for several years she also held at one time or another all the other officer positions during those early years. She had many connections in the Miata World which made SAMOA a premiere organization in the western states if not across the country. Miata Designer Tom Matano, National Club Newsletter Editor Barbara Beach and other Mazda officials were frequent visitors to the Lutz household. In checking the early newsletters, she organized and created numerous events including the infamous Gold Rush Spectaculars. She was a great cheerleader and promotor for our club in those beginning years until her health began to wane.

I'm sure all those who knew Bonnie will miss her very much.
