With the start of the new site, the thought of uploading all the old photos to the new site was a bit daunting...The probability that no one looks at past photos more than once and never again and lots of photos take up an enormous amount of space and slows the uploading of site changes, rethinking the photo posting circumstances was a priority.

Using social media for other sites photo posting has worked out pretty well recently so here is what is being proposed...We will give it a shot and see how it works out...

The new site will be using the social media platform, Instagram, for displaying future event photos...The advantages are several...First, no space on the website is used...Second, the site loads quicker taking up less space on the server...Third, the use of a cell phone camera makes it easier for anyone to load a picture...Fourth, no lugging around a large camera...Fifth, anyone in the club can take pictures and post them to Instragram...Which in turn makes taking care of the website MUCH easier...

The only hitch in the giddy-up is in order to view the photos you must have an Instagram account...You don't have to post any photos to instagram to have an account, although grandkid pictures are fun to post and look at...Trust me on that one...So your account can remain photoless and can even make it private so no one can see it...Quite harmless.

Once your account is established you can view this on your cell phone or your computer...Any device which can access the internet...

Here is the process:

Go to instagram.com...Tap Sign Up, enter your email address, create a username, which can be anything related to you or totally unrelated to yourself to provide a bit of anonymity. Once signed up do a search for sacramentoareamiatas and click follow...
